Brief description of study

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the safety and performance of SNS when used in patients who have Crohn’s disease or left-sided ulcerative colitis. The InterStim™ Neurostimulator (InterStim) will be used in every participant who agrees to participate and meets all the eligibility criteria for the research study. Approximately 5 people with Crohn’s disease and 5 people with left-sided ulcerative colitis in the United States will take part in this research study for a total of 10 people. You may receive a stipend for completing a study required colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy with biopsy that is not part of the standard of care treatment. You can expect to receive the following: ● Crohn’s disease participants o $375 for a complete colonoscopy and biopsy ● Left-sided ulcerative colitis participants o $150 for a complete flexible sigmoidoscopy and biopsy You may receive reimbursement for your travel related costs for the procedure/office visits and a stipend for your time completing each telemedicine visit. ● Travel reimbursement up to $50 ● $25 for each fully completed telemedicine visit
