Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to learn more about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other related neurodegenerative diseases, including but not limited to frontotemporal dementia (FTD), primary lateral sclerosis (PLS) and progressive muscular atrophy (PMA). More precisely, we want to identify biomarkers of ALS and related diseases. A biomarker is an indicator of the disease that can easily be measured. Our long-term goal is to use this information to advance the development of therapies for patients with neurodegenerative disorders. This study is seeking participants that have ALS or a related disease and healthy controls. This study has a two part consent process. This consent form is specific to screening procedures and will be followed by another consent detailing the procedures for the long term portion of the study.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Medical Research, ALS
  • Age: 18 years - 99 years
  • Gender: All

Age 18+ Diagnosed with ALS or a related disease Healthy controls.
