Brief description of study
Many patients suffer from acute ocular pain due to different problems, however there is no available treatment for chronic eye pain (long lasting eye pain). Very often eye pain is reported after surgical procedures, like PRK and LASIK. Up to 60% of patients continue to have chronic pain beyond one month; and in some cases, the pain will continue for many years or even permanently. SAF312 is currently under evaluation for the treatment of corneal induced chronic pain (CICP).
